Meet Me at the Hippo is an original mixed-media work celebrating Baltimore’s legendary Hippo nightclub, a legendary night club where for queer nightlife would be free to dance the night away, possibly find love or a hookup.

This piece is a vivid mix media collage incorporating, hand-painted color, drawn figures, and collage elements capture the joy, fashion, flirtation, and community that came alive on its dance floor.
